Over 400 Taliban killed in Helmand in past 3 months

More than 400 Taliban insurgents have been killed in operations in Afghanistan’s Helmand Province over the past 3 months.

Provincial Governor Hayatullah Hayat said on Sunday that the Afghan security forces have conducted military operations in different parts of the province including the provincial capital Lashkargah city, Naw, Nahr-e-Siraj in past three months, killing over 400 Taliban terrorists, injuring 65 and capturing 150 others, TOLO News reported.

Her further added that military operations are currently ongoing in Nad Ali District of the province.

“The Taliban are not capable anymore to face the security forces in the province,” Hayat said, adding, “If the Taliban does not join the peace process, the group will be destroyed by the security forces.”
